So you have left foot pain but no diagnosis? Your friends said it might be Gout? The signs and symptoms of gout are almost always acute, occurring suddenly — often at night — and without warning. They include:
Intense joint pain. Gout usually affects the large joint of your big toe but it can occur in your feet, ankles, knees, hands and wrists. If untreated, the pain typically lasts five to 10 days and then stops. The discomfort subsides gradually over one to two weeks, leaving the joint apparently normal and pain-free.
Inflammation and redness. The affected joint or joints become swollen, tender and red.
I do not think you have GOUT! Therefore I would see a Doc and get the problem diagnosed. Best of Luck

Generally gout starts w/ big toe but can be elsewhere. Watch out for spicy foods & alcohol . No cure but there is a pill your MD can prescribe just for when it flares up that works wonders. Curious as to exactly where the pain is on the foot, may not be gout at all. Shouldn't self diagnose.
