I get it too and it sucks big ass but really I dont consider it a curse I consider it a blessing. It’s stopped me from being a complete alcoholic.

Thanks for making this video as it speaks for me too. I sure do miss all those foods and the binge drinking. You can only have chix so many ways. People don’t realize how painful it is, so much that it can become obsessive(I know I am). But hey, if you don’t laugh about it, you’ll sure cry.

  3. H2O! H2O! H2O! is the key! I’m on my 8th 16 oz bottle of the night. It takes plenty of water to flush the uric acid from the system. Take Aleve (NSAID), it’s better than advil and better on the stomach. Black cherry juice to prevent gout! I’m 31 and got gout for the firs time when I was 24. Haven’t had an attack in two years until now. Got the stomach virus last week and goe dehydrated and lost fluids is why I’m pretty sure my uric acid levels increased and my Gout flared up!

I had Gout and it fucking sucked. My toe is a wounded soldier now. Haven’t had it for 3 years but the damage is done to my toe. No more meat (Well, less) and no more booze.

Avoiding gout in certain people is simple: Avoid Beer (or any alcohol, but especially beer) and follow a strict gout diet (low-purine).

For others whose gout came on without excess high-purine foods or alcohol. Ask your Dr. to do a blood test checking the parathyroid and calcium levels in your body. My Doc found I had hyperparathyroidism which was the cause of gout. I had the hyperparathyroid removed and the attacks have gone down DRASTICALLY.

So there’s some hope although my case was rare.

it’s hard treating gout, especially when it concerns about the diet. eat low purine foods. you can find a list from the internet. and avoid ASA. you can have NSAID’s for managinf the pain. i’m also in my 4th week of gout.

I’m into my 2nd week of gout, first week was hell, fever, shivers, and extreme pain. Could use crutches but the foots own weight would hurt like hell, if I had it up in the air and jumped with the other leg. Second week was alot better, swelling went down and can move the toes, but its still lodged in the ankle and mobility is limited. Hopefully it will be gone on week 3. I really think there is nothing more painful than gout. One really have to experience it, to know how painful it is.
